Speedy’s Community Chest

It has always been important to AA-Air Company to give back to the community that supports us. Now we have a new way of giving and you get to be part of the process. Every other month we will be donating funds to three local organizations. You can choose your favorite below. You may vote once per day for your choice. The organization with the most votes at the end of the active voting month will receive $1000 from Speedy’s Community Chest. But not to worry, second and third place will receive $500 and $250 respectively. Individuals may vote up to once per day with a registered email. Don’t worry, your email won’t be spammed or sold.

Contact us if you would like your organization or community group to participate in the future. Participation is available no more than once annually.

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley

The Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley is leading the way to end euthanasia of adoptable animals in East Tennessee by the year 2025. We are solely funded by donations from the community and grants. Winning this $1000 contest is a small way to have a big impact on the lives of shelter animals. By voting for us daily you are helping to provide a forever home for many deserving homeless animals.

Charity Chicks
Charity Chicks is a dinner club filled with women who want to make a difference in their communities and the world. We do this by sharing our monthly projects with our spheres of influence and those who are often willing when shown an avenue for giving. We rotate projects monthly and they vary from gathering vases for Random Acts of Flowers to sponsoring a food pack for 22,000 orphans in Guatemala.

Our current project for December is helping the Salvation Army with the Angel Tree.

Knoxville Police Department
The Knoxville Police Department Chaplains Corps is one of the best kept secrets in Knoxville. There are 35 volunteer Chaplains who serve the KPD 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. Their primary purpose is to be a support and encouragement to the men and women of the department and their families. Police Officers deal with tremendous stress in serving our City. Chaplains do Ride Alongs and other activities to build relationships with our Officers and provide support and encouragement.

Knoxville Police Department Chaplain Corps

The secondary purpose of the KPD Chaplain Corps is to give support to the community in crisis. Chaplains respond to situations such as death scenes, accidents, or any incident in which an Officer thinks a Chaplain can bring calm or assistance to someone dealing with a difficult or tragic situation. Chaplains deliver death notifications for Officers when needed. Assisting families and victims assists Officers as well allowing them to continue police work while Chaplains assist families.

Each Chaplain serves one 24-hour duty day each month and considers it a privilege to support and assist the dedicated men and women of KPD and their families. KPD Chaplains volunteer around 12,000 hours each year.
